It was amazing. Everyone was so excited. Nearly a hundred people (mostly family and friends of those getting baptized) huddled around the baptistry while 22 people went public with their faith!
When we finished I was thinking...WHAT A WAY TO START THANKSGIVING WEEK!
In fact, I am seriously thankful. I get to be a part of a church that "anyone can come to" and last night made that clear. We had young and old, men and women, tattoos and no tattoos! Each person shared their reason for getting baptized and every one was personal, real and inspiring to me.
To each one of you who "took the plunge" let me say, CONGRATULATIONS! I never get tired of seeing people simply obey their Lord.
