Daniel Fast-Day 15

Daniel Fast-Day 15

I want to personally invite you to “HALF-TIME” this Sunday evening at Community. We’ll be unveiling all the different ways you can make a difference this Easter at the Hemet High Stadium!! It starts with the kids fundraiser dinner from 4-6 and then Half-Time will start at 6 pm.

We’ve been thinking and praying a lot about Easter as we make preparations for what should be an extraordinary day! With that on my mind, I read John 15.

Here’s the verse, that again, stopped me in my tracks:

John 15:5 (NIV) “I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.”

This whole chapter is amazing. However, that last phrase in verse 5 takes me to my knees every time I read it. “APART FROM ME YOU CAN DO NOTHING.”

Easter at the stadium will not be a success, even if we do our very best, if Jesus is not there moving and working in people’s lives.

Yes, we need your help, but let me say it another way. Let’s all join HIM in what He’s all about on this day. I’m praying for a lot of people to show up, but mostly, I’m praying for Jesus to show up!

As you pray about your involvement, please also pray that you be connected to Him and His purposes each and everyday. Life...don’t try to do it alone!

Please share your thoughts and comments each day as we do this TOGETHER. If you’re reading this in your blog reader or email, please click on the title of the blog and you’ll automatically be directed back to the website blog so your thoughts will be public.

Just wondering if kids would be able to volunteer, and go to the planning meeting. my boys are thinking about it, but are not sure whats totally involved, so they want to go to the meeting to hear all about it. i know I am volunteering, so count me in! :)

Traci, it would be great if they want to help. Pretty much anyone Middle School age or older could be on a team.
