Yes, we’ll be at the Hemet High Stadium on April 8th for our Easter service. Here’s a few things I thought you might like to know about the day.
Schedule:
9:30 Easter Egg Hunt
10:30 Celebration Service
12:00 Lunch (pizza) provided
What to wear?
We’re a pretty casual church, but if you want to wear a bonnet, go for it. Seriously, most people will be in jeans and casual attire. You don’t have to dress up for us.
What to bring?
Check out the weather forecast before hand. You may want to bring a jacket or blanket if it’s cool in the morning. Actually a blanket is good no matter what since we’ll be sitting on the aluminum bleachers. If you have bleacher seats, bring em!
Bring a beach chair or fold-up chair for the lunch & hang out time. Hey, bring a huge bean bag if you want to!
You might want to bring a hat and sunscreen, even if it’s cooler. If the sun is out, you’ll know it later for sure.
What to expect?
You can expect an event! This is no ordinary church service. The children really get the day started with the Easter Egg Hunt. We also have jumpers, face painting and other activities for your young ones throughout the day. The band will be rockin’. Count on it!
You can expect to be accepted! While you’ll find some pretty great people gathering at the stadium, you won’t find anyone perfect. We’ve all blown it (and still do) so we understand what it means to NOT have it all together.
You can expect to be at home! Whatever your background, race, age or favorite baseball team...you’ll find people with open arms.
You can expect noise and life! This event is for the whole family. We’re not separating the children for this special service. We’ll all be together. Sure, they may squirm and wiggle and make noise...but tell your husband to just settle down!
Have special needs?
We’ll have interpreters for the deaf.
We’ll have handicap accessible spaces for the event for wheelchairs.
How long does this thing last?
The celebration service will end around noon. We’ll have lunch available if you want to hang out. We’ll have the jumpers and face painting for children, volleyball and other activities for the teenagers and a lot of relaxing, hanging out and enjoying the day time for everyone! We’ll wrap it up around 2 pm. We’d love it if you’d plan on staying and hanging out with our family the whole time!
