This simple little truth, LESS IS MORE, seems to fit so many situations in our lives. It can be especially true as we weed through all the stuff we do, cut out what we don’t need and then put all our energy into the few things that will make the greatest impact. This has definitely been true of our church.
Over a year ago we started trimming back here at Community. Sometimes “pruning” is painful, but we knew that we had to stop doing some “good” things in order to focus our energies on the “best” things. It’s amazing to see where we are now and see what we’re ready to tackle…because we have this focus.
Today I was thinking however of LESS IS MORE on a personal level. I’m still hearing (from this past weekend’s message) these words from Hebrews 12:1, “…let us throw off everything that hinders…”
My question is a simple one, and yet it’s very personal. What do you need to THROW OFF?
