No, I’m not talking about shopping days (although that’s the same number). I’m talking about the number of days until our Christmas Eve services. There are several reasons why THIS Christmas Eve is going to be very special and important here at Community.
For starters, we’ll have tons of people here who need to hear the Christmas message THIS year. Why do I keep emphasizing THIS Christmas, THIS year?
1. Many people have had a very difficult year financially, relationally, spiritually or in any other way THIS year.
2. Many people may be very open to hearing some Good News THIS year because of the amount of difficulties they’ve experienced.
3. ALL PEOPLE, whether they realize it or not, are being pursued by God RIGHT NOW. He wants them to know that He loves them and wants to adopt them into His family. This has been true since before the world began!
Long before he laid down earth's foundations, he had us in mind, had settled on us as the focus of his love, to be made whole and holy by his love. 5 Long, long ago he decided to adopt us into his family through Jesus Christ. (What pleasure he took in planning this!) -Eph 1:4-5 (TM)
So, grab your invititation cards this weekend and start handing them out to everyone you know, don’t know, or would like to know. I don’t care who…just INVITE EVERYONE to THIS very special and important opportunity!
