Our staff is reading through the book, PRIMAL, by Mark Batterson. He also wrote another book we went through last year that we’re still talking about: The Wild Goose Chase. In this book (PRIMAL) I just came across a powerful picture of prayer.
“Have you ever noticed that when you pray, coincidences happen? And when you don’t, they don’t? It’s more than coincidence, it’s providence. Prayer creates divine opportunities.”
What Mark Batterson is talking about in this section is how prayer opens our eyes to see God at work. It’s like when you get a new car, and then suddenly notice how many other cars are just like that on the streets.
Prayer has a way of helping see what God is about to do, might do or is already doing in the lives of those we’re praying for. So, before you go on to your next website destination, email or project...PRAY!
Keep praying for those you personally know who are far from God. And don’t forget to be watching for those amazing coincidences that follow.
