I just had another great week. What’s fun in ministry is the different things that come up and the new experiences we get to be involved in. This week for example...
Thursday night I got to go up to Camp Ronald McDonald where our elementary age kids were for their 3 days of camp. A couple of factors made this especially amazing.
First of all, we joined forces with the San Jacinto Calvary Chapel and took 78 kids to camp! (I love it when churches work together!) Maria and our team were amazing! I got some great comments from the camp staff that is up there for the summer. Thursday night as I spoke for their final program I was pleasantly surprised as I began reading their key verse for the week and all 70+ kids took over and said it out loud.
But more than that, our kids got to walk and talk and play and sing and learn on the grounds of a camp, that for the next 6 weeks, will be having kids with cancer running and playing and getting some new perspective on their situations. Our kids, with only 1 1/2 weeks noticed raised $$. They called it, “kids going to camp helping kids going to camp.” So our kids are helping the kids who have cancer. This blew me away, and maybe it will blow you away as well, but our kids raised over $1,200!!!
This week I also got to host the Olympus Awards (put on by the Chamber of Commerce) that were held right here at Community for the 3rd year. This is so much fun and a great time for our church to host such an important event. Awards included Man of the Year, Woman of the Year, Restaurant, Small Business, Large Business, Non-Profit of the Year and more.
I love seeing our church so involved and connected to what’s happing with the leaders of our valley. Volunteers from Community served at the event and did a fantastic job!
What’s next? Glad you asked. This weekend at Community is very special...and here’s why. It’s FATHER’S DAY WEEKEND!! I’ll let you in on a little something. We made a video this week with my dad and I. YOU DON’T WANT TO MISS THIS! HA!!
See you soon!

Thank you to all who held up "Kids Camp" this week in prayer! We had a great time with some amazing kids! We learned that we all have giants that we will face and bumps in the road along the way but with God as our Rock and the Bible as our Sword we do not need to Fear..
So do not fear, for I am with you;
do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
Isaiah 41:10
Thanks to all that were involved in making this summer camp happen for our youth.
It is always amazing to see how God works in the lives of the young, who then influence others around them. The eternal connection. We are so Blessed.......
