Okay girls – Even before we launched the new Community website, I had been spending more and more time looking at various websites for ideas and content, fresh looks, etc. Now that our new, fantastic site is up & running, I think I’ve probably checked in on most everyday and have been reading John’s blog just to see what’s going on. – Can’t get left out, you know! I’ve also been reading a bunch of other pastor guys’ blogs and some very Godly women involved in ministries just like ours. What an encouragement! God has laid it on my heart that Women’s Walk needs it’s own blog to get us all in touch and connected to each other on a more regular basis. So, here we go:
The main purpose of this blog is to keep the Women of Community current and connected. The writer of Hebrews tells us to …” see how inventive we can be in encouraging love and helping out…” (10:24). We want you to have all the info you could ever possibly want on our ministries, lifegroups and events. As much as possible, we want you to have an opportunity to share with our leadership team and each other what God is doing in your life, your LifeGroups and your ministry teams so that we can “encourage one another and build each other up…” (I Thess 5: 11)
Another great aspect of this blog will hopefully be the opportunity for those of you reading our blog who may be looking for a church home to see that God is working in us and through us (Phil 1: 6) as women here at Community to make a difference in each other and in our community.
We are still working on getting our website pages up and going but you should be able to link on to our events page by now so you can get the scoop on what’s already happening this summer! So, I’d really like to hear from some of you who’ve been to one of our previous beach parties and/or one of the DropIN bible study. Share what a GREAT time you had and encourage someone else to get connected through Women’s Walk.
