Maybe you’ve heard that there’s “more than one way to do church”. It’s true. And very soon there will be more than one PLACE to do church at Community. Double your fun!
Starting October 4, 2009, Community will open a second campus on the west end of our valley. Every weekend we will be offering worship experiences at our East Campus (at the corner of Stanford & Stetson) and our new West Campus (Tahquitz High School’s Performing Arts Theatre).
WHY: We’ve felt strongly for some time that we needed to do more to reach out to all the people who have moved into our valley and live on the west end of our valley.
HOW: Everything at both campuses will be live except for the teaching time. We will record our Saturday evening service each weekend and show the teaching portion on the big screens. Approximately 80% of the time Pastor John, or our other teachers, will be live at our East Campus on Sunday morning. From time to time they will be live at our West Campus as well.
WHEN: It all starts October 4th.
HOW CAN I HELP? We will need a significant number of people involved at both campuses in all areas of ministry. Nursery/pre-school/elementary, tech team, worship teams, host team/greeters, set up/tear down teams… The list goes on.
WHERE: The new West Campus will be held at Tahquitz High School.
